Acting as a graphic designer and project manager/art director, I create logos and collateral materials for business and non-profit clients to communicate your important messages to targeted markets. Working with strategic partners including marketing specialists, I am able to help you with full service graphic and marketing needs including all of your printing, promotional items, and signage, whether you are located in Central Oregon (where we are) or anywhere that the web can reach.
I believe that my clients need:
• Support
• Appropriate Visual Communications (Collaterals)
• and the Added Value of Reasonable Input
I can help in the following six ways:
Start Up
In branding, the key is consistency. It is not as simple as it sounds. First we focus on your vision, strategic business plan and product. Then we help identify the market you wish to reach. Finally, we help you decide on the look and feel that you want to portray and the best way to reach the market you have identified. After these things are decided, we begin work on the logo, the printed collaterals, the website and the advertising venues.
Usually the first collateral materials that come out of a marketing plan after the logo is designed include business cards, a brochure to generally identify your business, a website, and stationery. If there is a physical space, or company vehicles, signage is also needed. Next you identify TV or radio spots, publications and events and go through all the hoops to get your name branded in the right markets.
Refresh/Update
If the logo and look of the collaterals is adequate and not in need of design, a client may need a refresh or a simple update. In that case, we use existing files and make the requested changes for our clients, then we send to the printer of your choice - or one of our regular printers.
Re-Brand
Sometimes, a company needs to be re-branded. This happens in cases where the company culture, products or areas of service have been expanded or changed. In a case of re-branding, the client needs to start over as though it were a start-up company, but since it has a history, some of what is already existing may still be used with updates.
Adding Collaterals
The client is satisfied with it’s brand and all of it’s existing collaterals. However, there is need for additional brochures, business cards, newsletters, etc. in the same style. This may happen when there are changes in staff or contractors or new products need to go to market. Everything is established, and what is missing is the worker to produce these new pieces.
Tutoring
Since many companies have downsized or outsourced their Marketing and Graphics departments, on more than a few occasions, they have put some of the projects of less importance on the desks of employees who do not have the software knowledge to produce them.
Instead of putting out inferior communications which reflect poorly on your company, and frustrating your multi-tasking employee, you can hire us to tutor your employee for a more successful outcome.
Some of the areas in which we can help include:
InDesign
Photoshop
Illustrator
Layout Ideas
Printing Preparation
Rent the Hands
An illustrator I knew in L.A. used the tag line: “Rent the hands – The brain comes free.” When a client knows exactly what he wants, but does not have the technical equipment or know-how to create it, we can step in and just produce the item he has in mind.
This generally applies to agencies, marketing people and other graphic businesses or printers - but increasingly, there are people with a good feel for marketing who might like this option. Think of it as a designer rental program.
